Malishka always has that zeal of the ‘Sapno ka Sahar,’ being born & brought up in Mumbai. Malishka’s footprint will lead you to the top-notch of the ladder holding the position of best female RJ of India. The intrepid, valorous RJ Malishka journey to the top was not a cakewalk. She lost her father very early in life and was single-handedly raised by her mother, Lily Mendonsa. She initially started her career in the advertising industry and has received training under Indian film director Prahlad Kakkar, but she soon left the less intriguing field. She started working as RJ in Win 94.6 FM, where she continued for 2 years; after that, she worked for Rediff Radio for 7 months and then began working for Red FM. She has gained wide popularity for the show that she hosts in the morning, “Morning №1″ at Red FM 93.5.in 2010, the ‘Morning №1 with Malishka’ won the Indian Excellence in Radio Awards for ‘Best Breakfast Program(Hindi).’

She never shy away from speaking her heart regarding any social issue. For example, she once made a parody about monsoon woes such as potholes, traffic jams, and railway disruptions of Mumbai targeting Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. This incident created a buzz in social media, and netizens had a mixed reaction to it. But this viral parody repercussion was huge as BMC took the incident seriously, which later stirred up the political debates and led to blaming games. Later, she released a video explaining the intention behind making the videos and used her platform so that the base reality voice couldn’t succumb to power.

In 2006, she had trained actress Vidya Balan, who played RJ in the film “Lage Raho Munnabhai.” But, being a constant explorer for growth, she doesn’t want her career to be monotonously inclined towards the radio. Henceforth she participated in various reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 7 as a wild-card contestant, Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. In 2017, she made her Bollywood debut in Tumhari Sullu, where she played the role of a radio jockey. Let’s commemorate the hardship of RJ Malishka and encourage the youth to explore and pursue their dreams.
